Thermodynamic Solar Energy Installation

Thermodynamic solar is the most efficient technology for producing domestic hot water (DHW), heating, and swimming pool climate control throughout the year, even on cloudy days, in the rain, or at night. At Inove Ecoenergia, we install thermodynamic systems across the Costa del Sol with over a decade of experience and certified equipment.

What is Thermodynamic Solar Energy?

Thermodynamic solar energy harnesses energy from the surroundings—solar radiation, air temperature, rain, and wind—to evaporate a low-boiling-point refrigerant gas. This gas, compressed and condensed within the system, releases heat to the water in the storage circuit, allowing the constant production of hot water with minimal electricity consumption.

Unlike conventional solar thermal energy, which relies on direct irradiation, thermodynamic panels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, making it the ideal option for homes, hotels, residential complexes, and community or private swimming pools in any climate.

Our installations

How does a Thermodynamic Solar System work?

A complete thermodynamic system consists of three main elements working in a continuous closed cycle:

Thermodynamic Solar Panels

These act as the system's evaporator. The black plate maximizes absorption and receives the liquid refrigerant from the heat pump at a very low temperature. By absorbing environmental energy (sun, rain, air), the refrigerant evaporates and returns to the heat pump as a hot gas.

Heat Pump

Acts as the heart of the system. Its compressor increases the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant gas. Although it consumes electricity, for every kWh consumed, it is capable of producing between 3 and 5 kWh of thermal energy, giving the system a COP much higher than any conventional electric heater.

Accumulator with Coil

The tank stores hot water ready for consumption. Inside, a coil condenses the hot refrigerant gas, releasing heat to the water and allowing the refrigerant to return to a liquid state to restart the cycle. The result is hot domestic water at the desired temperature available at all times.

Benefits

Thermodynamic Solar vs. Other Technologies

Choosing a thermodynamic system is a qualitative leap compared to conventional solutions, guaranteeing uninterrupted operation 24 hours a day, even in rain or wind. This technology allows for energy savings of up to 70% on DHW and heating, with a simple and lightweight installation on any surface. Thanks to its closed circuit, maintenance is minimal. It is fully compatible with existing systems such as underfloor heating or previous tanks. It is the ideal solution for heating swimming pools, extending the swimming season in a sustainable way, as well as reducing emissions and allowing access to official grants for renewables.

Who it is ideal for

Applications of Thermodynamic Energy

We install thermodynamic solar systems adapted to every customer profile, from single-family homes that meet their DHW and heating demands with a single panel, to hotels and owners’ associations that obtain massive hot water supplies with investment returns of less than five years. This technology particularly excels in heating swimming pools on the Costa del Sol, maintaining the water between 26°C and 30°C to extend the swimming season, as well as in gyms and sports centres.
